Welcome to Project PREMA

About project PREMA

The international project "Predicting Rare Events More Accurately (PREMA)" is jointly supported by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the Slovenian funding agency ARRS. It is led by Georg Heinze (Section for Clinical Biometrics, KB, University of Vienna, Austria) and Lara Lusa (Institute for Biostatistics and Medical Informatics, IBMI, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia), and has started in October 2015, with a run-time of three years. The project aims at achieving advances in the methodology of penalized regression models to improve predictive accuracy of very rare events, such as adverse effects of medicines or infections.
